Three Harper Adams students have been commended by property and business consultants Brown & Co for their outstanding performances in Law and Estate Management.
All three students are studying for BSc (Hons) degrees in Rural Enterprise and Land Management. Presented annually, these Brown & Co Awards are made in recognition of the best performances in the Law and Estate Management module.
Tobias Burckhardt of Tockwith, North Yorkshire, won first prize for gaining the highest marks in the end of year examinations. Edward Plumb of Swanton Novers, Norfolk, and William Weaver of Frampton Cotterell, Gloucestershire, were placed joint second.
On presenting the awards, Tom White, senior partner of Brown & Co, said; “It is most encouraging to meet three such talented young men who have clear understanding of rural land management coupled with a strong career focus. Each of them will no doubt thrive in their studies and be successful in their chosen professions. They are all worthy winners.”
Brown & Co enjoys close links with Harper Adams University College and each year makes the awards with the objective of encouraging the most gifted students in to the property profession. During the recent visit to the University College in Shropshire, members of Brown & Co’s land agency and agricultural business consultancy teams provided constructive careers advice to the students including an insight in to available opportunities within the sector.
